   Your search for a friendly, down-to-earth, patient and competent Paediatrician ends here. Dr. Prama Akshay Bafna, the best paediatrician in kolhapur is all of these plus she’s very approachable. She is trained and experienced to deal with all kinds of neonatal, infantile and paediatric emergencies and routine problems. After graduating from one of the best institutions in the country, B. J. Medical College and Sassoon Hospitals, Pune, she was fortunate to train under the who’s who of Paediatric super-specialities at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata. Her zest for further learning got her to the famous Wadia Hospital for Children where she did her IAP fellowship in Neonatology. After that, she continued to share her knowledge and skills with the P.G students while continuing to treat patients as Assistant Professor in Paediatrics at Sir J.J Hospital, Mumbai. She shifted her base to Kolhapur in 2017 and immediately started working as a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Apple Saraswati Hospital. She realised that new mothers have many fears and questions surrounding breast-feeding, so she started clinics for that in collaboration with various obstetricians. She continued to treat the needy sector at ESIC Hospital and also at Shri Mahavir Swami Manav Seva Kendra, Kolhapur.
   She is a member of the Kolhapur Academy of Paediatrics and was on its executive board in 2019. She hosted many events, delivered many awareness lectures and academic talks under the same banner. She is a life member of the Central Indian Academy of Paediatrics. She is also associated with an NGO COVID centre-Simandhar COVID centre during the current pandemic. More than anything else, she’s a proud mother of two children and can effortlessly empathise with her patients’ concerns.
